Doctors Hospital Hosts Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for Emergency Room Wright Ranch
Doctors Hospital of Laredo (DHL) hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony for its third freestanding emergency department, Doctors Hospital Emergency Room Wright Ranch, a Service of Doctors Hospital of Laredo. The 11,500-square-foot facility will provide much needed 24-hour emergency medical services to southeast Laredo. ER Wright Ranch will feature six exam rooms, one multi-patient treatment room, one trauma room and waiting areas. The official “first patient day” or grand opening for ER Wright Ranch will be Monday, February 17, 2025.
“ER Wright Ranch will benefit the community by offering an accessible location for ER services in a thriving area of our city,” states Andrew Wilson, CEO of Doctors Hospital. “Just like our other ERs throughout Laredo, ER Wright Ranch will provide 24-hour emergency medical services close to home. Highly trained emergency doctors and nurses will be available to treat life-threatening conditions such as stroke and heart attack, as well as critical emergencies including abdominal and back pain, cuts, sprains, broken bones and infections. We will offer the same quality emergency services you expect from Doctors Hospital. We look forward to serving and growing with the community.”
Wilson along with Carol Sherwood, Doctors Hospital Chair of the Board of Governors; city and county leaders; chamber and community members and hospital staff participated in the ribbon cutting ceremony hosted on Friday, January 31, 2025.
Conveniently located at Wright Ranch (Phase II), the new freestanding ER will have easy access to main city arteries including Cuarto Vientos Blvd., Hwy 83, Hwy 359, Los Presidentes Ave. and Lomas del Sur Blvd. ER Wright Ranch will also offer diagnostic laboratory and radiology services, including X-ray and CT.
